All I’ve got to say was that I was quite scared. But man oh man, not even in the bottom 3. If I think I heard correctly Sanjaya alone had 37 million votes…AMAZING.

I guess people liked Sanjaya’s change of pace. Instead of sucking his usual horrendous karaoke style way, he completely changed it up and sang what will probably go down in history as the worst nasally, tinny vocal in AI history. But at least he had the guts to stand up to Simon and tell him that he intentionally sounded horrible.

When Chris Richardson was asked about Sanjaya’s performance, he just bobbed his head three times to the left, then twice to the right. Then he muttered something unintelligible to which Simon promptly gave a smirk (and then apologized for?).

All in all, if Sanjaya is going to continue on I think he is going to have to mix up his style some in the following weeks. But his complete lack of skill should make up for any other shortcomings, so keep voting and keep checking back here.
