Jordan Sparks DID NOT deserve to win, it’s unfortunate that we all vote on the winner and doesn’t have anything to do with the judges who are the one’s that really know about music. Yes I agree that she should be top 12 but not the winner. Blake deserved to be where he was but in past American Idol competitions he would of been blown away. We will still continue to see nothing come of him as well as Jordan. She will be washed out like Clay, Rueben, and Fantasia. Melinda should have been the winner this season and not for her personality because she had none, but for her singing alone. No one in this season of AI could even come close to touching her voice, not by a long ass shot. THIS IS A SINGING COMPETITION. It seems we forgot that this season
Do you honestly believe that it is REALLY a singing competition? Far from it. It is a cleverly disguised popularity contest wrapped around the notion that people SHOULD vote based on their singing ability. Don’t kid yourself. The judges repeat over and over that it is a singing competition, but they are just giving everyone lip service. Bottom line, people are going to vote for who they like the most, even if they have a bad week “singing.” I don’t feel bad for either of them as Blake will probably end up a decent selling album because he has musical ability. Jordan is a wildcard. She might hit it big, or she might be another Fantasia. Melinda had the best voice, but ultimately her lack of personality (and stage presence) lost it for her. Sanjaya will probably do just fine too as he got more press that anyone (except Antonella). Ok, thats enough.
You are right, I guess what I meant was, yes this is a singing competition but obviously that is not taken as the most important issue when voting. Sinjaya (sp) was in the top 16 for what….his dumb hair….the dude couldn’t sing for absolutely nothing. Jordan has a gorgeous voice on the right night, melinda had a gorgeous voice EVERY night. I’m not worried though, Melinda will have her contract and record deals, she’s out there and noticed, Jordan will only get her contract because it’s an obligation. Oh and I agree Sinjaya will do just fine I’m sure, just like WIlliam Hong or whatever that douches name was. They both can “bang” each other–Im sure Sinjaya wouldnt mind. LOL..
Sanjaya wasn’t the best vocalist this season, however he is not a bad singer, and not tone-deaf. He made it to the top 12, with the 3 judges’ blessing. Williams Hung was an AI reject from the get-go and he is tone-deaf. People who don’t see the difference are tone-deaf themselves. (Tone deaf people don’t know they are tone-deaf).
Sanjaya may have not been the best vocally but he was the most charming, endearing, exciting, daring, & most entertaining of this season and all seasons. Tony Bennett said to Sanjaya “You’re terrific.” He will sell more records than anyone else on AI will do a duet with Tony Bennett. Then we’ll see who’s the last one laughing (all the way to the Bank). Sanjaya rules. Welcome to his universe.
@sonetta: Sanjaya was NOT good. He did make it to the top 12 with the judges blessing, but they quickly realized that he was not that great of a vocalists. The only reason he stayed as long as he did was his personality and LACK of singing skills which got him the press (us, VFTW, Stern, etc).
I for one would not buy anything he produced, even if he did sing a duet with Tony Bennett. I also don’t expect to see his name again except when reminiscing of AI days of old.
LOL! LOL! LOL! umm Ya that’s me laughing at you (Sonetta). You must be tone deaf as well and when I heard him sing it was more like Welcome to Hell! He was HORRIFIC and didn’t deserve to even be on the top 12. I agree with JSUGGS completely, the ONLY reason he was on the top 12 is because his voice IS HORRIBLE. (Example: William Hung) He had the most publicity becuase he was horrible and all of America wondered when and if he would go home. That is what “smart America” calls “playing for the ratings”. Sonetta must be 12 because that was Sanjaya’s fan base age group. His personality shined but his voice, well need I say more?
Sanjaya has a wide fan base–from teen-age girls to grandmas, I for one am a woman in my forties (but thank you for thinking I’m much younger haha). What I’m angry about is how the media can destroy someone by telling lies and everyone jumps on the bandwagon. He is just a young teenage boy who joined a freaking singing contest and the whole world is somehow threatened by him.
Why is everyone so afraid of Sanjaya? Although I don’t want to bring in the race card, I think it all has racist undertones–America is simply not ready for an Asian-looking person to make it to the top (even if he is American-born and even half-white–his mother is Italian-American, his father, Indian). I guess it will take time before American can embrace what Sanjaya stands for–it’s just very sad and disappointing. Sanjaya only projects love even to those who hate him… and so will I. LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL!!
I agree with Sonetta. If Sanjaya was white or black, people would not think that he is that bad of a singer. In the music industry, you are only accepted if you are black or white, or maybe Latino. There are so many American singers who do not know how to sing and are successful - Britney, Madonna, JLo, Janet Jackson, Enrique Iglesias, etc. The American public is not ready to see an Indian person singing pop songs on TV. R U threatened by Indian-looking people? He is not a terrorist! He is simply Sanjaya from Federal Way, Seattle.
Richie and Sonetta: I’ll give you a maybe on the race issue. However, he is NOT a good singer AT ALL. And at least that was MY motivation for my satire. I actually made several conscious decisions to not make some racial jokes just because it can be a sensitive issue, and I that wasn’t the type of publicity I was wanting (although as the saying goes any press is good press).
I can understand people saying he’s not the best vocalist (he wasn’t) or even that they don’t like his style of singing but to say that he’s tone-deaf, or the worst singer ever, or compare him to William Hung–that I think is showing people’s ignorance and because of this are easily led to jump on the bandwagon. Have you seen the video clip of Sanjaya on youtube.com singing “Sweet Chariot” a gospel song, as a soloist for a church choir. This was pre-American Idol when he was still 16. Search under “Sanjaya’s Chariot.” He has a lot of potential to be a good singer. If he impressed Tony Bennett, I think that say’s something. Tony Bennet after all is an American icon in music. He didn’t have to say those good things about Sanjaya but he did. But Alas, most everybody has been brainwashed (or earwashed). But I believe time will prove that Tony Bennet was right.
@Richie - I don’t think that Sanjaya is tone deaf, but he is NOT a good singer (at least compare to the others anyway). He should definitely be compare to William Hung though. They both got recognition for being sub-par singers…just William Hung was horrific, whereas Sanjaya is just unpleasant to listen to.
As for the Tony Bennet thing. Did he say anything bad about ANY of the contestants, no. He is a nice guy. Does that mean that he didn’t like Sanjaya, no. But I doubt that if the cameras weren’t rolling that he would still be so supportive.
I’m getting kinda tired of this. I think those who hate him obssessively have an issue with themselves. They need someone to criticize and put down so they can feel good about themselves.
People who love him will continue to love him, and people who hate him will continue to hate him. Let’s leave it at that.
Peace.
@richie - I think you have confused hate with something else. You can make fun of people you like.
But I’ll tell you what I’m getting tired of…People who don’t have a sense of humor. In case you didn’t/couldn’t notice, this is a satire site. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satire
Satire site? Ooops, sorry. Guess I’m at the wrong site. Thought this was a “Crazy About Sanjaya Site.” Love/Hate, Love/Hate, it’s really a thin line… couldn’t really tell the difference. Bye!
@Shoowjoitte - While I made some adaptations, I really can’t take all of the credit for the design. I’ll try to find the original template and post back.

Hi.
Good design, who make it?
@Shoowjoitte - While I made some adaptations, I really can’t take all of the credit for the design. I’ll try to find the original template and post back.
Can’t wait for next season to roll around!
She sucks. Forgetable. squeaky. unadmirable. unoriginal. boring. she sucks.
I’m gonna tatoo my ass with “JD sucks.”
