It is still early into the competition, but last night gave us a shimmer of hope. They were being quite stingy with their Hollywood passes until Kayla Hatfield came in. She has an amazing story, an electric personality, not too much fashion sense, and a horrible singing voice…perfect!

Amazingly enough, Paula was the only one to give her a no. I think that already makes her an Idol first. Simon said that he “wished he could be her for just one hour, maybe two.”

There is no way you can hate the girl, she has been through so much already and she still has an uncanny joyful outlook on life. Well, here’s to hoping that you can make it through the Hollywood round!
